Irishman Confident Of Taking Andrade’s Title In New Hampshire
Ireland’s Jason Quigley believes he will be taking the world title strap home from America next month after he faces off with Demetrius Andrade in New Hampshire.
The Donegal boxer says the timing is just right for him to become a world champion and says his fans will turn out in force in the States to roar him to victory.
Quigley will face off against WBO World Middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade as part of a jam-packed fight card at the SNHU Arena on Nov. 19.
“I’m at the perfect stage in my life and my career to deal with this situation. I’m not the young kid now living for the whole excitement of fighting for a world title.”
“This is just another fight and I training my absolute ass off in the gym to get that W.”
Quigley (19-1 14 KOs) has just landed in England to continue his camp with trainer Andy Lee, a previous holder of the belt.
“To win will mean so much in this fight than in any other fight.”
“He needs fights, and the big guns are avoiding him.”
“I’ll happily step in and bring that title back to Ireland.”
Quigley will be the fifth man to try to take the WBO World Middleweight title belt from Andrade (30-0 18 KOs) and the second from the Emerald Isle after Luke Keeler’s unsuccessful attempt in January 2020.
“I know that I can bring stuff to the table that is going to upset him, make him see things that he’s not always seen inside the ring.
“I honestly believe the Irish fans will outweigh his fans come fight night 100 percent,” said Quigley who won the WBO-NABO middleweight belt against Shane Mosley Jr. in Las Vegas last May.
