The42.ie Boxing Journalist Gavan Casey previews Jason Quigley’s World Title Fight v Demetrius Boo Boo Andrade in New Hampshire Friday.
It is a huge opportunity for Quigley, a world Amateur silver medalist.
The Ballybofey man (19-1, 14 KOs) has notched three wins on the bounce since his shock 2019 defeat to Bahemnian Tureano Johnson – his sole loss as a pro.
He called out Andrade after his victory against Shane Mosley Jr. in Las Vegas last May.
Quigley will be the fifth man to try to take the WBO World Middleweight title belt from Andrade (30-0 18 KOs) and the second Irishman after Luke Keeler’s unsuccessful attempt in January 2020.
Quigley’s bout will headline the event with three other world title fights also on the billing. The card will be shown live around the world on DAZN.
